A Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders is a graduate degree focused on the study of human communication, its development, disorders, and treatments. This degree prepares students to become speech-language pathologists (SLPs), who diagnose, treat, and help prevent communication and swallowing disorders in individuals across the lifespan, from infants to the elderly. You'll learn in a friendly and comfortable environment, and develop through personalized education with small classes, collaborative relationships with expert faculty, and an excellent in-house clinic with state-of-the-art audio and video capabilities. When you graduate with. your Master of Science (M.S.) degree, you will also meet academic and clinical practicum standards for the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology granted by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and the Speech-Language Pathology license issued by the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board. Graduates also meet the requirements for the Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential from the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC).
