At Presidio Center for Sustainable Solutions, your education is built on a hybrid model: weekly online classes paired with monthly Residency Weekends at the University of Redlands San Francisco Bay Area Campus in San Anselmo, CA. While residency attendance is mandatory, you choose whether to join in person or virtually. This is where classroom learning, collaboration, and community come together.

The hybrid model balance allows you to advance your career and life commitments without stepping away from either:

• Weekly remote classes keep you grounded in coursework and connected to faculty. 

• Monthly Residency Weekends (Thursday–Sunday) create time to immerse in learning, reflection, and connection. 

• In person or online? It’s your choice each month! All classrooms are equipped with state-of-the-art audio/visual technology so the experience is engaging no matter where you join from. 

Why Residencies matter 

Residencies are where the Presidio experience comes alive! Take this time to:  

• Deepen relationships with peers and faculty. 

• Collaborate face-to-face on projects and discussions that build leadership skills. 

• Grow your network by connecting with alumni and sustainability professionals who join as speakers and mentors. 

• Recharge in community through optional activities such as lunch-and-learns, club events, themed gatherings, and our time-honored Circle tradition.

Set on a historic hillside campus in San Anselmo, our San Francisco Bay Area campus offers: 

• On-campus housing in Baird Hall for students who choose to stay overnight. 

• Modern classrooms and gathering spaces designed for hybrid learning.
