About
Tom Whittemore joined the University of Redlands in 1988 following a two-year assistant coaching stint at his alma mater, Claremont McKenna College. Since joining the Bulldog staff, he built Redlands’ aquatic programs into national powerhouses, serving at various times as head men’s and women’s water polo and swimming coach, assistant swimming coach, and director of aquatics.
Whittemore retired from coaching after 32 years during the 2019–20 academic year and now devotes his time to teaching and serving as chair of the Department of Kinesiology.
