Professional Background

Alisa Slaughter’s essays, short fiction, and translations have appeared in Flyway, Terrain.org, The Mersey Review, and The Santa Monica Review. She co-translated Spy for an Unknown Country: Essays and Lectures by Merab Mamardashvili (ibidem-Verlag, 2021).  Her short story collection, Bad Habitats, was published by Gold Line Press in 2013. She is a contributor, co-editor, and translator for Both Sides Face East: Durable Words, the first volume in a three-part series on Ukraine, published by Academic Studies Press in spring 2025.
