Talia Meeks is a second-year master’s student in the Clinical/Counseling Psychology program at California State University, San Bernardino. As a first-generation college student, she is deeply committed to child and adolescent psychology, with a strong passion for mental health advocacy, particularly within marginalized communities. Talia has extensive experience working with children and adolescents and approaches her work with compassion, openness, and inclusivity. She primarily utilizes cognitive-behavioral and client-centered approaches, often incorporating mindfulness practices into her therapy. Her clinical experience includes working with low-income, at-risk youth, multicultural populations, and individuals within the LGBTQIA2S+ community. Talia’s research interests center on reducing mental health disparities and expanding access to quality mental health services for underserved populations, with the goal of fostering more inclusive and supportive environments for individuals and families.
