Joanna Zhao

Joanna Zhao is a third-year PsyD clinical psychology student at Loma Linda University. Her clinical interests include working with young adults struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, identify exploration, and body image concerns. As an international student, she is especially excited to help other international students and individuals with multicultural backgrounds to explore navigating diverse cultural identities. She enjoys using a client-centered approach combined with interventions from emotion-focused therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy. She also integrates mindfulness and strength-based perspectives based on the client’s style and preference.
