The Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Business explores the intersection between profitable business practices and environmental responsibility. Students will learn how to apply green business techniques to improve organizations’ brand image, reduce costs, and support the environment through social, ethical, and scientific understanding of environmental issues. This emerging field is growing rapidly as organizations and consumers alike acknowledge the pressing need to protect and preserve the well-being of the environment to be able to continue to prosper. If you are passionate about nature and want to create a positive impact on the environment through thoughtful and sustainable action, this marketable degree may be a good fit.
Students interested in understanding the conservation and sustainability challenges that society faces and who feel motivated to work towards solutions to these issues will thrive in the sustainable business program at University of Redlands. This specialized degree is marketable both domestically and internationally as businesses look for short- and long-term solutions to grow and thrive sustainably. Through this program, there are opportunities for summer science research and both local and out-of-state summer internships. This program even offers opportunities to study abroad to places like Panama and Palau to study conservation and sustainability through Redlands' unique May Term offerings. You’ll gain practical, hands-on experience in this program that will prepare you to excel in your career.
