Majoring in Education: Secondary Mathematics Teaching will prepare you to become a teacher by working closely with dedicated faculty who care about your success. During student teaching or teacher residency, you will be supervised by a cooperating teacher at the school site and a University of Redlands supervisor. The use of educational technology is incorporated into all courses, field experiences, and California Teacher Performance Assessment (CalTPA) cycles, as are the theory and skills needed to effectively teach English learners and other diverse student populations enrolled in today’s classrooms. The programs are accredited by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC) and aligned with SB 2042 standards.
