Conservatory of Music
In the Conservatory of Music our goal is to help each student achieve their potential to become a well-rounded musician. All great performances go far beyond technical mastery to include a sense of history, society, culture and art. At Redlands, our students learn to perform, interpret and teach music in a liberal arts environment that provides a broad education and intense training.
Music programs of study
The Conservatory of Music offers a Bachelor of Arts in Music, Bachelor of Music in Composition, Music Education, and Performance, Master's degrees in Conducting, Composition, Kodály Pedagogy, and Performance, as well as an Artist Diploma.
Featured programs
The Conservatory of Music is home to several unique programs, such as the Kodály Center, which houses the summer certificate and Master of Music in Kodály Pedagogy, and the Feast of Lights, one of the most recognizable and respected of our university’s traditions.

Join us throughout the year for more than 200 recitals, concerts, and special events, including student and faculty recitals, large ensemble concerts, chamber music recitals, and guest artist performances. With a few exceptions, our performances are free and open to the public.

Ensemble opportunities
Performance opportunities abound with more than 200 performances on campus annually, including the university's holiday tradition, the Feast of Lights. Our ensembles have been heard at conferences including NCCO, ACDA, CASMEC, Choral Canada, and have toured to exciting destinations including New York City, Portland, Newfoundland, and others!
