Through New Student Orientation, which is required for all new first-year and transfer students, you'll prepare to navigate your first year at Redlands. You'll connect with your peers, faculty, and student leaders. You'll begin to plan your academic journey with your advisor and register for classes. Maybe most importantly, you'll start to feel like Redlands is your community.

First Year Journey
First Year Journey (FYJ) is a pre-orientation program available to incoming University of Redlands students. As a new student, FYJ offers you the chance to immerse yourself in nature, develop strong connections with the university and your peers, and gain valuable insights into college life.

Resolute
Before day one of classes, you can explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) through RESOLUTE—hands-on workshops, learning opportunities, discussions, and new insights on student experiences and projects that will inspire you while you create the first of many college memories with your peers. This program is by invitation only.
