University of Redlands ranked among top 15% of colleges nationwide by the Wall Street Journal

The University of Redlands has been recognized among the top 15 percent of colleges in the nation, earning a ranking of No. 89 out of 584 institutions in the recently released Wall Street Journal/College Pulse rankings. This recognition underscores the university’s reputation for excellence in higher education, combining academic rigor with a vibrant student life and nationally ranked athletic programs.

“Redlands offers a unique balance of academic challenge and meaningful student experiences,” said University of Redlands President Krista Newkirk. “Our students thrive because they are inspired by outstanding faculty and supported by a wealth of student life programs, all of which help shape a full and rewarding college experience.”

The accolade from the Wall Street Journal comes alongside Redlands’ strong performance in the recently released 2026 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings, which recognized the university in several key categories, including Best Value in the West (#8) and Best College for Veterans (#8 tie).  Redlands was also named a Best College in the West (#11 tie).

These rankings highlight the university’s efforts to ensure affordability, access, and student support. The Redlands Promise, the university’s tuition guarantee, reinforces this approach by providing families with financial clarity and peace of mind from the outset of their college journey.
